Women’s History Month: The Woman Behind the Craig Davis Family Insurance Agency

Women’s History Month

When people walk into our insurance agency, they see the name on the door and assume they know who built it. What they don’t always see is the woman who quietly shaped it into what it is today — through steady leadership, thoughtful strategy, and unwavering commitment.

March is Women’s History Month, and for me, it’s a chance to recognize the person who has influenced our agency far beyond titles or recognition: my wife, Kathy Davis.

Like most small businesses, we started with long days, uncertainty, and a lot of faith. Through every season, Kathy brought stability. Where I saw opportunity, she saw structure. Where I pushed forward, she refined processes, strengthened our client experience, and elevated our standards. Her influence ensured that as we grew, we never lost the heart behind why we started.

Kathy leads without needing the spotlight. She mentors team members, raises expectations, and remains steady during challenging market cycles. Our retention is strong because she prioritizes relationships. Our culture is strong because she values people and accountability. She believes excellence is a daily discipline — not a one-time achievement.

Beyond the office, she balances leadership, family, and community with strength and grace. Success and compassion are not competing traits in her world. She is the captain in both our business and our home — setting direction, modeling integrity, and keeping us grounded when challenges arise.

Insurance is about protecting futures. The legacy we are building goes deeper than policies written; it reflects integrity, culture, sustainability, and a genuine commitment to the families and businesses we serve.

This Women’s History Month, I’m reminded that behind many successful businesses are women whose influence is quiet but transformational.

In my case, that influence has a name — and I am proud to celebrate Kathy Davis.
